The small size acrylic (30×40) radiates an immeasurable strength thanks to its chromatic intensity obtained with the use of strong colors such as brown, red, orange and burnt like the scorched land of Mexico.

In the foreground Frida’s medium close up, taking up 2/3 of the painting, catches the viewer’s attention thanks to the Monna Lisa effect and hides another main character of this work of art, the tiger.

In fact the feline is laid in the background and, in contrast with the quietness of the woman, seems to portray the feminine alter ego looking at the viewer and hiding the jaws behind Frida’s shoulders.

The animal recalls the modernist primitivism and becomes a co-protagonist of this work.
